Grumman F-11F-1F Tiger |
The F11F-1F Super Tiger - to be produced under the name F-11B - was not only considered a potential new fighter for the U.S. Air Force, but the prototypes were actually test flown by three countries: Canada, Germany and Japan. All test pilots were impressed by its agility and good handling. Yet in the timeline we live in, they chose to buy the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, which was difficult to control but more powerful. It is not 100% how much of the decision was influenced through bribery by Lockheed.
Here are some versions, that may actually exist in another timeline, another quantum reality.
