Simple cars

This tutorial shows you how to create simple cars in Blender and provides Blender files. Basically you can just follow each video to create the models in Blender. This was designed as a beginners lesson on using Blender, so you can follow it to learn the basics and then later move on to more sophisticated models.
You can also build or get inspiration from the finished models, the model plans for which are available for download.

#1 – Set up Blender

The first video is showing you how to make some basic settings you are going to need for your model.

#2 – Setting up the 3-view

It's good to use reference images, ideally a blueprint or 3-view, showing the object from top, sidde and front. Here's how to set it up to get started. If you do not want to do this, you may also download a pre-preared 3-view under each of the following models.

#3 – Bus

The public transportation bus is the model which is the easiest to create.

#4 – Basic car

This car is basically a mid-sized sedan, like a stereotypical regular car. It can used to just create mid-sized sedans, taxis, police cars or maybe even NASCAR cars.

#5 – Mini EV

This car is based on the Wuling HongGuang Mini EV, the Chinese Volkswagen, which is a simple two-door four seat electric car.

#6 – Mini Cooper

This car is based on the Mini Cooper remake.

#7 – SUV

This car is a classic sports utility vehicle, based on a modern version of the Range Rover.

This car is based a generic sports car that is something between Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

#9 – (Mini) Van

This car is based on a typical Chinese Minivan, also called a "bread car" because they look like a piece of bread.

#10 – Truck

This truck is based on a small truck. It is very different from the other models, with more small parts.
