The Nanchang Q (Qian)-5 was the first combat jet, that was designed and produced in China. It was based on the MiG-19's design and was used for a number of ground attack roles, most of all close air support.
It was also exported to a number of asian countries under the changed name A-5. It remains in service until today, serving with both Chinese and foreign forces.
